Musica e Molecole 5 will be a truly remarkable event hosting the student orchestra of the Accademia Vivaldi in concert with the “Ragazzi Telethon”. This collaboration is the result of an ambitious project funded by the Gustav and Ruth Jacob Foundation under the auspices of the Telethon Foundation of Ticino. Telethon raises funds during annual events to combat rare genetic disorders. Funds are given equally to research and to direct action in favor of patients and their families.
The Music Project brings together the orchestra of the academy with young people afflicted with debilitating illness to learn how to make music together. Begun in May of this year the students have had several workshops together as well as a summer camp. The event at the IRB will be filmed live by the local television helping to raise funds.
