As part of the celebrations of its tenth anniversary, the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB) has organized this exhibit and three conferences focused on immunology and vaccines, themes which are central to IRB research programmes. Through his photographs Ivo Saglietti illustrates life in countries where malaria, tuberculosis and AIDS are affecting millions of people and the efforts made by scientists to bring vaccines and hope to sufferers around the world.
